Tarbosaurus: The Tyrant of the Late Cretaceous | Dinosaur Documentary
While the world famous Tyrannosaurus rex was roaming the Hell Creek Formation of central North America, its slightly less well known cousin was presiding over the scrubland and plains of Mongolia. Tarbosaurus, one of the most impressive apex predators of the end Cretaceous Period, was a tyrannosaurid, a close relative of its American ally.
In fact, the two dinosaurs are so similar that Tarbosaurus has in fact been considered to actually be a species of Tyrannosaurus itself. While Tyrannosaurus stalked ceratopsians in the humid American woodlands, Tarbosaurus was at home in more arid environments, where it thrived for over four million years.
In today's video, we will be meeting this giant of the Asian plains, coming face to face with one of the most impressive animals ever to walk the earth. Join us as we travel back in time to meet Tarbosaurus, one of the closest cousins of the mighty Tyrannosaurus rex.

The Smartest & Dumbest Dinosaurs to Walk The Earth...
Переглядів 5 тис.День тому
What Dinosaur Was the Smartest Dinosaur? We've come a long way in recent years in terms of paleontology. With recent revelations in technology we have been able to depict dinosaurs as living, breathing animals, and not just movie monsters. We have produced accurate ideas on how dinosaurs lived their lives; what they ate, and how they interacted with their environments. We even know the colours ...
Utahraptor: The Largest & Scariest of all Raptor Dinosaurs | Dinosaur Documentary
Переглядів 14 тис.21 день тому
One dromaeosaur - Utahraptor - stood taller than all the rest, to the point where it could quite comfortably fit an animal the size of Velociraptor in its mouth. While other genera, such as Dakotaraptor, steadily approached this giant in size, Utahraptor is firmly unchallenged as the largest known dromaeosaurid discovered to date - and today, we will be meeting it up close. This video will conc...

This particular story takes place on the west coast of southern Pangea, specifically the region that would one day become the Ischigualasto Formation of Argentina, and concerns an animal that scientists would name Herrerasaurus - one of the very first genera of dinosaurs. Herrerasaurus may have been a carnivorous dinosaur, but it was far from the apex predator of its locality. At this time in p...

Unsurprisingly 300,000,000 years ago, the world was extremely different at ground level. Sprawling forests primarily made of club mosses and horsetails towered across much of the terrestrial landscape, under which thrived vast swamps of murky water and unfamiliar creatures. The oxygen levels of these huge swamps were ten percent higher than those we experience today, which greatly altered the c...

Towering high above any of its relatives or namesakes, this caenagnathid dinosaur, unrelated to the likes of Velociraptor and Utahraptor, was a colossus of the Iren Dabasu Formation. Discovered in what is now the Gobi Desert of Inner Mongolia, this was one of the largest animals to occupy the sands and plains of Asia in the Late Cretaceous, around ninety six million years ago. A true oddity of ...
What Disney Dinosaur Got Wrong About The Iguanodon...
Переглядів 5 тис.3 місяці тому
For many people, Iguanodon was quite possibly the first dinosaur they were introduced to. To this day, in fact, it remains one of the few dinosaurs to be at the centre of an entire blockbuster film plot outside of Jurassic Park, in the form of Disney's aptly titled 'Dinosaur', released in the year 2000. The animated film focuses on a male Iguanodon, raised in isolation from his species, who set...

There's nothing known about these, including what they looked like, exact size, no skin impressions etc. It was also pure speculation they had two brains . A second in their abdomen, which of course was b.s. And the blood pressure in a giraffe is the absolute maximum due to it's long neck. Any longer and it's heart would explode.
